Thank you for joining me on this journey through life! I just published my website and it’s time to start discussing who I am and what moves me. I have a wonderful network of family and friends who support and love me through every joy and obstacle life brings. I’m fortunate to live by the ocean and am able to walk on the beach and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The ocean heals and comforts me and is a great source of
inspiration.
I began writing seven years ago. I picked up and pen and paper and started writing Drowning when it came to me in a dream. I wrote the entire manuscript in eight months and then edited it with the help of my mother. Life became even more hectic than it was before with two growing boys and a full and part time job and I shelved Drowning for several years. In the meantime, I wrote a few short stories and started a prequel.
Last June our family had the wonderful opportunity to move to St. Augustine
and we took it. It was the best move I’ve ever made for my family. I dusted Drowning off my shelf and started back at it again.
I’ve worked on it for just over a year now and it’s time to shelve it again. Don’t worry; this is a short sabbatical for Drowning as I plan to start the revision process in a few weeks with fresh eyes. I’m so excited to work on my baby again. The novel stands at 83,000 words, which I predict will be close to the final product. I’ll let you know if I’m right when I finish!
Why focus on Domestic Violence? The theme behind Drowning is helping women realize the impact of domestic violence, from verbal insults to physical abuse and every type of abuse in between. Drowning gives people the opportunity to see first-hand the devastation abuse takes on our souls.
Please join me on my journey to complete and market Drowning and help people victimized by domestic violence everywhere.
