This past weekend CAT (Community Action Team) volunteered at two Betty Griffin House events.
On Friday night, Betty Griffin House, Flagler College, and One Love Foundation sponsored a ‘Teal Out’ to raise awareness to sexual assault and domestic violence victims at a Flagler College baseball game. Many people wore teal to support sexual assault awareness month. On Saturday, Betty Griffin House held their annual 5K Run and Walk-a-thon.
At both events, CAT provided information about Betty Griffin House, including the sexual assault and domestic violence services available. It was a great turnout and we are always looking for volunteers!
If you’re being abused or know someone who is, please call the National Domestic Violence Hotline for help. 1-800-799-7233.
Remember, if we can help just one victim, we’ve done our job.
